Francis Cullinan, Director
Francis Cullian, creator and director, has directed over 100 productions as a professional stage director, educator and visiting artist at leading American universities. He has also directed numerous regional tours of musicals and opera theater for the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, the Missouri Repertory Theater and more. Mr. Cullinan headed the MFA Directing Program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he was also an Associate Professor of Theatre. He has been a Visiting Artist at Carnegie Mellon School and the Opera Institute at Boston University as well as serving as Artistic Director of the Creede Repertory Theatre in Colorado. He has also been on the creative team for several new works, including the opera, Hazel Kirke, and the musical, Heaven in Your Pocket. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Cullinan holds a BA degree from St. Bonaventure University and a MA degree in Speech and Theatre from the University of Kansas. He also served for five years a s a Special Services Entertainment Director for the US Army in Zweibruecken, Germany, where he helped to coordinate touring USO shows. Mr. Cullinans is a twenty-year member of AGAM—the American Guild of Musical Artists.
